A passionate historian, whose love for her subject drives and ignites the passion of all of her students, Ms. Aysel Mammadova brings more than a 16-year experience of teaching the British curriculum in various  schools. As the Principal of LANDAU Secondary School, she ensures that our school has the highest quality of teaching and learning. Ms. Aysel is a FLEX program alumnus and holds BA and MA degrees in International Relations and Political Studies. She has completed Assessment to QTS route Programme by the University of Buckingham and received a Qualified Teacher Status issued by the Teacher Regulation Agency, England. She was also awarded with a Certificate of School Leadership and Management by Harvard Business School. Ms. Aysel is a strong advocate of a growth mindset in education and in life. 

Ms. Zahira Mammadova who is entering her 15-year as an educator of different age groups tries to make the school the place where students want to be. Zahira Mammadova began her educational career in 2007 as a mathematics teacher of Secondary school. Ms. Zahira taught IGCSE Mathematics, AS/A-Level Mathematics, Statistics and other college level courses in different international schools across the country. Ms. Zahira holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Baku State University and a PGCE from the University of Buckingham, UK. Her educational experiences have allowed her to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. Ms. Mammadova is a trained Cambridge A-Level Mathematics assessor and UAE certification holder of Middle School Leaders. Harvard Business School also awarded her a Certificate of School Leadership and Management. Ms. Zahira sees LANDAU School as a family, and the family is complete with every staff member, student, and parent. 

Ms Konul Huseynova is the LANDAU Secondary School Principal of “Sea Breeze” campus in charge of KS3 and KS4. Ms Konul’s main task is to make sure that students of “Sea Breeze” campus learn and thrive in the quiet and fresh atmosphere of the Sea Breeze resort. Ms. Konul is a graduate of Azerbaijani University of Languages with the BA and MA degrees in German philology. Ms. Konul has 18 years of experience in teaching German and 10 years in teacher training. She is a proud holder of the Grunes Diploma– German Teacher’s Training Program of Goethe Institute. Ms. Konul believes that kindness and empathy among students are essential for making the world a better place. She was also awarded with a Certificate of School Leadership and Management by Harvard Business School. 

Ms Sabina Farajova graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Languages with a bachelor’s degree in Romano-Germanic Philology and a master’s degree in General Linguistics with honors; CELTA Bournemouth, UK. Her work history in international education is over 20 years. Sabina Farajova worked as a lecturer and instructor at Azerbaijan University of Languages as well as performed at teaching and leadership positions in various international schools in Baku. Sabina Farajova is LANDAU Secondary School Deputy Principal. Ms Sabina believes in the family and school fostering multicultural, environmental, and humanist values together for a better tomorrow. 

Ms. Kushvar Hajiyeva graduated from Baku State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry. Her Ph.D. research was within the program of Erasmus Mundus “Electra Project” in Prof. Dr. Jürgen Marten’s research group at Oldenburg University, Germany. She has started her exemplary career as a Chemistry teacher, preparing students for IGCSE, Foundation, and A-level examinations according to the Cambridge and Edexcel, IBDP Program. She was also awarded with a Certificate of School Leadership and Management by Harvard Business School. 

Ms Bilgeyis began her career in education years ago and has worn many hats since then serving students of all ages. She has graduated from Olympic High School in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended Baku State University for her bachelors, majoring in Mathematics and Mechanics. Ms Bilgeyis is a proud holder of a CELTA certificate. She pursued her master’s degree in Data Science through University of Warsaw, writing her thesis on “Predicting credit card fraudulent transactions on unbalanced data using machine learning”. As a Math teacher, Ms.Bilgeyis comes with over ten years of professional teaching and leadership experience and is very excited to bring her passion for education to the Landau students. Ms.Bilgeyis is LANDAU Secondary School Deputy Principal awarded with a Certificate of School Leadership and Management by Harvard Business School. 

Always passionate about teaching French and Art, Ms. Gular has more than 20 years of teaching experience in international schools, both in Azerbaijan and France. Her educational background includes a bachelor degree in Azerbaijan University of Languages, Master’s degree and PhD in Multimedia Creation for Language Learning in March Bloch University in Strasbourg, France.  

To gain essential leadership skills, Ms. Gular has completed A Leadership Training course at Harvard Business School and recently, has gained the title of “Coach of the Year 2022” in Global Round of World Scholars Cup competition held in Dubai. 

Ms. Gular speaks fluently French, English, Russian and Turkish. 

Being part of LANDAU family, since the first day of school, she was promoted to the position of Deputy Principal of LANDAU Ganjlik Campus. Moreover, Ms. Gular is also Pearson EDEXCEL and Cambridge School Coordinator. 

She is actually a French teacher but is assisting the Principal of LANDAU School. Sona has graduated Baku Slavic University in 2017. She is very enthusiastic and passionate about her work. In a very short period of time, she got loved by everyone, including our students. 

Ms Nigar Seyidzada holds a bachelor’s degree in English Translation from the Baku Slavic University and a master’ s degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Azerbaijani State University of Economics. She has 4 years of work experience in international school and 6 years of private English language tutoring experience. She is able to speak in 4 languages. Ms Nigar has participated in various conferences and trainings and has got certificates. 

Ms Nigar is a graduate of speech therapist faculty from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. She has an excellent rapport with students of different age groups. She has been a member of LANDAU family since day one. Ms Nigar enjoys the art of photography in her free time. 

Nigar Akhundova is a personal assistant to the secondary principal responsible for Year 7 and 8. Ms Nigar graduated from Azerbaijan Pedagogical University majoring in Psychology. Nigar Akhundova started her career as a psychologist in the rehabilitation centre. Further on, she worked at managerial and administrative positions in the different spheres. Ms Nigar has specialized in communicating with clients, sales and promotion of the company product.  Her psychological background and regular international professional workshops and insets enable her to perform as a highly efficient communicator. Ms Nigar has a native fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian. Ms Nigar is a proud mother of a 11-year-old daughter with whom she shares her pass time and hobbies.    

Ms Gulshan graduated from the faculty of the Arabic language and literature of Caucasus University. She has worked as a translator and a teacher before changing her career path and joining the communication sphere. Currently Ms Gulshan is the key communicator between lower secondary students, teachers and parents. Ms Gulshan loves working with children and spreading positivity.   

Ms. Gunay Huseynova is an alumna of Azerbaijan State Economics University, whose impressive background encompasses accounting, hospitality, and international events. In her role as Secondary School Principal Assistant, Ms. Huseynova excels as a coordinating force, ensuring seamless communication between Year 5 students, their teachers, and their valued parents. Her unwavering commitment and readiness to assist greatly enrich the school community.

Ms Femida is a graduate of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, the faculty of Chemical Technology majoring in environmental engineering. In her teens, Ms Femida used to be a professional volleyball player. She won medal positions at various local and regional championships. Before joining LANDAU family, Ms Femida had performed as a purchasing and sales director in the brand children’s wear company. She has a vast administrative and customer service experience. Ms Femida speaks Azerbaijani and Russian as a first language, English as a second language. Ms Femida chose to continue her career at school as it is the most inspiring environment for continuous personal and professional growth: self-education is lifelong curiosity. 

Ms. Narmin graduated from Khazar University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Master's Degree in Educational administration. Being energetic and responsible has always been her strongest ally to handle challenging situation. She is Edexcel and Cambridge Exam Officer responsible for Checkpoint, IGCSE and A level exams. 

Ms Parvin started working at LANDAU School since day one as a Principal’s Assistant. Currently she has taken over the role of University Admissions Officer. She graduated from Baku State University with a BA in History. Ms Parvin provides excellent communication between school administration, students and parents, works closely with Education Abroad Department of LANDAU Education Group. Her main motivation is to help all our graduates achieve their goals and to be accepted to the university of their choice. 

Graduated from faculty of general psychology of Moscow State University in 2016. Right after graduation started working at the Logos Children’s Psychological Center as a child psychologist and teacher with 3-14 year old children. Have experience working as a trainter with teachers, parents in various projects of the ministry of education as well as for skills development of psychologists in Baku and different regions of Azerbaijan. Additionally, have been a staff member in an international project TIMSS. 

Introducing Ms. Samira Kalbaliyeva, our Cambridge and Edexcel Exams Officer at LANDAU School. With a BA in Translation from Azerbaijan University of Languages and ongoing MA studies in Teaching and Learning at ADA University, she brings expertise and dedication to ensure our students' exam journey is seamless.

Having previously served as an admissions officer, she understands the students' aspirations and challenges. As the Cambridge and Edexcel Exams Officer, her primary focus is to maintain the academic integrity of the exams, ensuring our students have access to globally recognized qualifications that can unlock a world of opportunities for them.

Ms. Gulgun graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Baku State University and a Master's degree in Child Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy from the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis. She has been working as a consultative child psychologist for more than 5 years. She has also participated in a number of psychology seminars at Stanford University and the University of Pennsylvania. Her main professional goal is to support children in taking more confident and successful steps now and in the future by approaching each individual from a psychological point of view. 

Aydan Safarli’s educational background includes a master’s degree in Personality Psychology (psychological counseling) from Saint Petersburg State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Baku State University. She has obtained a graduate certificate in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Moscow Institute for Gestalt Therapy and Counselling. She has been conducting private practice with teenagers and youth for 3 years. 

Sabina Ismayilova graduated from Azerbaijan Medical University with Honours degree in General Medicine. She then continued her education in MSc in Psychology in Khazar University. Sabina has completed clinical internship in Psychiatry Department of Baskent University in Ankara, Turkey. Ms Sabina is happy to work with LANDAU students and discover their hidden talents.

Graduate from Chelyabinsk State Pedogogical University as English teacher and pre-school teacher in Russia. Ms. Ruhangiz has 11-years teaching experience of preschoolers at Pre-school education center in the Russian Federation. She is certified of teaching children with special concerns (needs).

Ms. Nigar graduated from Tefekkur University and got her bachelor degree in English language Teaching. She had 8 years of teaching experience at the different international schools. Ms. Nigar has participated at different development and webinar seminars.

Ms. Narmin has a Bachelor’s degree from Baku Slavic University, as a teacher of English Language and Literature. She started her career as a tutor and has 9 years of experience as a teacher in private Preschool educational centers. Successfully passed her IELTS exam. Ms. Narmin`s motto is “Teacher`s duty is not only to teach subjects, but also teach the students the way of life”.

Ms.Sabina graduated from State Economic University. She joined Landau Education Group in 2019. Ms.Sabina has graduated from the Landau Academy.

Ms Shafiga graduated from Khazar University with a Bachelor of Linguistics degree. She received her master degree from the Azerbaijan State Economic University of Business Management. She joined Landau PreSchool in 2022. Ms Shafiga graduated from the Landau Academy. She has administrative experience in the field of education.

Yavar Khaligova holds a bachelor's degree from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University and a master's degree Azerbaijan State Economic University. After graduating she joined LANDAU PreSchool team. As a responsible and detail-oriented person, Ms. Yavar deals with parents to help them with any questions they are interested in.

She was born on April 6, 1995. In 2016, Ms. Safura was graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, psychologist bachelor. In 2018, she was retrained as a clinical psychologist at the National Medical Research Center for Psychiatry and Neurology by V.M. Bekhterov.

Ms Aydan is graduated from “Surgut State University”, direction of clinical psychology. She has 4 years of experience. She has certificates in:

• psychological trauma in the system-phenomenological approach, 2017;

• tutor support for persons with disabilities, 2019;

• Institute of Humanistic and Existental Psychology (Vilnius – Birstonas) «Introduction to Existental Therapy. Existental Experience Group», 2019.

Mustafa is an experienced project manager, events management professional, and protocol officer with strong skills in record keeping of events, projects, management on a global scale (EXPO, Formula 1, and Eurovision Song Contest, etc.), and a local content (government summits, large scale sports events, concerts, exhibitions, and conferences).

Primary responsibilities include comprehensive managerial duties, administrative support provided in close collaboration with executives from Local Authorities, International Companies, NGOs, and a private sector. 

Mustafa graduated from Westminster University and got his bachelor’s degree in Tourism with a degree in Business. He has more than 10 years of working experience, and he is confident about working in a team or on his own, having a strong sense of urgency, as well as the one of flexibility to change and adapt whenever necessary. Hardworking and detail-orientated person with exceptional ability to multitask while maintaining a primary focus on priority projects. 

Creative, proactive taskmaster with outstanding communication skills, Mustafa joined LANDAU family in September 2022. He believes that we should invest in education because this is the future.

Mr. Elmin is a reliable Office Manager with over 7 years of experience in a corporate setting. He earned a bachelor degree from Azerbaijan State Agricultural University. Mr. Elmin pocesses strong multi-tasking skills, with ability to simultaneously manage various projects and schedules.

Leyla Mammadova is the Head of LANDAU Academy. She has more than 23 years of pedagogical experience. She holds an honors degree in Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics from Baku State University. Ms. Leyla is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. in Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Gunel Asgarova is the Academic Coordinator at LANDAU Academy. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University. She has teaching experience and worked as a translator as well as a specialist in international literary relations at the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre. Ms. Gunel is currently studying for a master’s degree in Teaching and Learning at ADA University.
